Just a small yet hilarious snippet of some stuff that went on during my weekend, the drunk kid featured is in fact my friends younger brother. (Video not by me)
I think its strange how certain days are fated to be forgotten and others etched into your memory for a lifetime. But what makes a day more memorable or significant than any others. I’m not entirely sure myself but it definitely centers heavily on who was there, why you were there and where you were on that day.
Nothing important even has to happen on a day in order for it to seem significant, in fact I’d argue the only true way to see if the memory of a days event will stick around is to wait a year and see if you can recall it just as clearly.
But as a certain fictional physicist once said “whats life without whimsy” and after all one day I may look back and realise just why a seemingly insignificant day was so memorable.
Dat tree.

Sometimes I cut myself…..
…to check that i’m still not turning into wolverine.
"So, its that time of year again, yup… I’ve completely exhausted my current selection of music I listen to. So you may say “Rob why don’t you just download some popular music they are playing on the radio right now”. And yes I could do that however when it comes to music i’m a snob.
So instead I’ve come to find some interesting ways to find music I enjoy and I thought why not share a few.
First up a little something I’ve nick-named ‘song branching’. Basically go through your music collection and find those one songs you have that you love by that one artist you’ve only ever heard of once before. Then type that artists name into YouTube and discover away. Simple but effective.
Next up check out the official sites for quirky films or TV series you watch, more often than not you can find the names of some of the pivotal songs featured in them and I can honestly say some of my favorite songs I’ve found through doing this.
And last but not even a little bit the least keep you ears open, be it in a cafe in the background or a random street musician you never know when a great unique song may pass you by. Obvious tip but so easily not done.
I shall leave you with some music I recently discovered from the new series of a TV program called skins in the UK. Love it or loath it you cant say the producers don’t make an effort to include a wide range of new artists.
Fun Fact: The main ingredients of pancakes were all things that are traditionally not allowed to be eaten during lent.
… Almost made it without mentioning pancakes too!
Just a quick post,
Today I read a comment on the internet by someone saying how they get fed up with shows like “How I met your mother” for example stringing the audience along with the promise of information; in this case who the character Ted finally has kids with.

A similar sort of thing can be said for the now finished series of lost that kind of took the idea to an extreme. and whilst yes its silly and yes I did hate what little of lost I saw. It works. I mean the whole idea is that you watch something for the journey from point A to B not for a snapshot of just A then B. You want all the ups and downs that fall between the chasm we affectionately refer to as a plot arc.
So forget A forget B and focus on the squiggly line between the two because whatever it is that’s where the fun is at.
Fun fact: On this day in 1943 Joseph Goebbels , Hitlers minister of propaganda gave the famous sportpalast speech as the tide turned against Germany in the second world war.
Hello internet. Over the past few days I have achieved very little and yet planned to achieve far more. Why you may ask? Well I put it down to the internet, well mostly that anyway.
I feel it cant just be me who finds they sit down to start some work they need done or even a personal project they want to do then to only find their mind wondering onto what they could be doing instead. This wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for the fact that the internet allows us to indulge in every whimsical thought you can have.
In times before the internet one would presumably sit down to write an essay, have a passing thought on how cool it would be to watch a video of a talking animal then return to finish their essay.
Personally I cannot focus on anything without having “is the grass greener” moments in which i suddenly envisage how much more satisfying it may be right now to be doing X or working on Y . Often though the grass is just as equally bland however.

So the fun fact, this here picture of previously mentioned metaphoric grass tastes equally as bland on both sides of a fence. So why not finish grazing where you are?
